Anthropology: Marriage and Divorce God in the Garden of Eden performed the first marriage. Adam and Eve, both made in God s image, were joined together by God and commanded to be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth (Genesis 1). God declared them to be one flesh (Genesis 2) and established the pattern of marriage to be a man leaving his father and mother and being joined to his wife (Genesis 2). Marriage in the Bible is a lifelong commitment between a man and woman before God. Marriage is the institution God established for sexual relations and the continuation of the human race. Marriage was created in Genesis 2:23-24, â€Å"The man said, ‘this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called â€Å"woman,† for she†¦show more content†¦I believe God doesn’t honor such a belief. Malachi 2:16 says â€Å" I hate divorce, says the Lord God.† God’s desire is for us not divorce but the Bible does give instances for it. Matthew 5:32 says â€Å"But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.† â€Å"Divorce is allowed for adultery and if you’re unbelieving spouse leaves you because of your beliefs (1 Corinthians 7:15). When an unbelieving spouse cannot tolerate the partner’s faith and wants a divorce, it is best to let that happen in order to preserve peace in the family†.2 In today’s society people want to get divorce because they don’t get along or they are tired of the person similar to the Jews in the Old Testament when they asked Moses for writ of divorce for any little things. I for one believe what scripture says about divorce, which is that, it’s permissible in certain cases but the first reaction shouldn’t be divorce. These phases evaluated different scopes of Team Read, the readers the coaches and mentors. The participant often took what is referred to as a similar test but differs in comparison which can cause validity issues around the board for the independent evaluator.
